Shake it like a Polaroid picture

I thought I'd share another one of my cameras. This Polaroid 600 was a birthday present many a year ago from my friend Leanne (thankyou!). Its super easy to operate and load, it also has a self timer function that I wish my Fujifilm instax would have! I used to use it all the time up until the Polaroid 600 film was discontinued in 2008. It then sat in my wardrobe gathering dust until the awesome people at impossible project started making film again. As you can see from the Polaroids below you can tell the difference between the old and new film.

The first lot of images were taken using the old Polaroid 600 film. This film was alot more reliable than the impossible project film and you could almost always guarantee a decent photo. It also developed within a few minutes, whereas the Impossible Project film needs at least 20 minutes to develop, away from sunlight.

As much as I enjoyed using the old Polaroid 600 film I find the impossible project film more exciting to use. You literally never know what will come out and it's always a surprise (whether good or bad). The colours and tones vary from print to print as you can see from the images below. The one thing that annoys me however is you only get 8 shots per pack and it's pretty pricey at £17 in most shops. Just means you need to make each shot count!

Do you own a Polaroid? What do you think of the Impossible film?

  1. I'm never surprised at how beautiful all your photos come out! I am seriously jealous that you own so many different polaroids!
